We have different programs and schedules for different needs. If you need assistance in selecting what is appropriate for you please contact us. Our programs are as follows:
Youth (Children) Program: The program aims to provide a positive development experience for all children through exposure to judo. Major foci are physical and social development by means of learning judo through play and drills. Exposure to competition is available to older children. We recommend that children be mature enough to listen to the instructors. We find this age to be about 7 or 8 years old, with a minimum age of six.
Cadet (Teen) Program: From ages 13-19, all teens are welcome, right from beginner to advanced, and for all fitness levels. Excellent coaching, camaraderie, and fun make for an excellent sporting experience. Recreational judo is supported, as well as opportunities for developing high-performance skills for those interested in competition. Note that this program is merged with the Senior program as of Fall 2022.
Senior (Adult) Program: This can range from 16-95. Judo is learned in a very safe and supportive environment. Parents of children in Judo often join the adult program. Recreational judo is supported, as well as opportunities for developing high-performance skills for those interested in competition. One thing everyone agrees on is that judo will increase your fitness level.
Self Defence Program: A 4-week course for adults interested in learning basic self-defence techniques. This course is offered periodically on demand. Dress: Be sure to wear a long-sleeve shirt, track pants, and no jewelry. Participants can register at the first class.
